Village Life Yoga

I began my journey as a yoga student in London while I was working as a research psychologist at UCL.
During this time I explored different schools of yoga in and around London, such as the Sivananda, Satyananda, Bikram and Iyengar schools.
I soon learnt the importance of clear instructions, discipline of practise and creation of space for students to develop their own practise and awareness of needs. All schools had this common grounding.
I then moved abroad to teach in international schools and began my Iyengar teacher training with my teacher Carlos Rui at CP Yoga school.
I taught in Portugal and Spain and helped set up a Satyananda yoga school, Kedar in the centre of Barcelona.
Upon returning to the ,UK I began working to support Dr Robin Monro at the Yoga Therapy Centre / Biomedical Trust.
I met and was taught by many BWY teachers such as Tara Fraser, Uma Dinsmore-Tuli, Julie Friedeberger, Ruth Gilmore, Robin Monro amongst many others.
I then returned again to Barcelona and worked in the Barcelona ashtanga yoga shala, as well as ran my own retreats in the South of France.
Now back in the UK again, I have completed my BWY diploma and have been teaching weekly classes in Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire since 2013.
I have attended a number of workshops over the years to enhance and link my teaching and own practise. I have enjoyed a number of workshops in ashtanga yoga with Hamish Hendry, Peter Sanson, John Scott, etc.
I have set up ‘yoga club’ at each and every primary and secondary school I have ever worked and continue to work with families and children privately and in schools.
In the long term, I am hoping to start a yoga hub, linking with osteopaths and other therapists to deliver a broad and thorough understanding of the postures, breath work and relaxation techniques which are so greatly beneficial in our yoga practises.
