Until I started my 1:1 sessions with Karen in January 2012 I had never tried yoga before. I was introduced to Karen by a friend a few months after I had been diagnosed with FM. At this point I was in a great deal of pain, my mobility had declined & I lacked energy & self confidence.
In the past 9 months I have developed a passion for Yoga. Karen has shown me how yoga can reduce stress and stiffness, build strength, increase stamina and most importantly teach you to love yourself.
I have now started to incorporate yoga into my daily live in order to help me try manage my condition. I can’t thank Karen & her patience enough. x
I had previously tried a couple of beginner yoga classes and was never able to keep up, finding the positions impossible to get into and with not being naturally bendy, being scared off after 1 or 2 goes at it.
Earlier this year I was diagnosed with ME and research showed that yoga could help. So I bit the bullet and knowing classes weren’t good for me I contacted Karen for 1:1 lessons. I have been working with Karen for 8 months now and I can honestly say it has changed my life. The sessions are challenging both physically and mentally, but I never feel better in myself than I do after yoga. Karen is amazingly patient, understanding of an individual’s strengths and limitations and always adjusts are sessions to my capabilities on that day. My body is now stronger and more flexible and the lessons she teaches me through mindfulness/meditation are the only things helping me with trying to stabilise the ME.
I would recommend Karen to anybody should you have a health condition or not, I only wished I’d plucked up the courage to do this years ago!
I cannot speak highly enough of Karen and would recommend her to anyone.
I started classes with Karen 2 years ago and I have never looked back! Her passion for yoga is infectious and her inspirational approach to teaching has enabled me to achieve amazing results, both physically and emotionally. Karen is refreshingly down to earth and intuitively guides you through each pose at your own pace, encouraging you to challenge yourself safely with expert guidance and support. I have already learnt so much, have a lot of fun and am completely hooked – my yoga classes have become my sanctuary in a normally hectic week and are definitely the highlight!
