Francesca Yoga Teacher and Studio Owner
Yoga Teacher in Macclesfield, Cheshire
I have practiced yoga for many years in the traditional Ashtanga system as thought in Mysore (South India) before training to be a yoga teacher myself and humbly pass the wonderful benefits of this great discipline.
My daily practice includes Meditation (stilling the mind and opening the heart), Pranayama (increasing and maintaining vital energy) and Asana (yoga postures dynamic, restorative, calming or energizing). I firmly believe that to be able to be a good yoga teacher you have to ”practice what you preach”.
Over the years I have been attending yoga events and workshops with renowned teachers in India – where I return regularly to attend a special 3 week retreat with my beloved teacher Clive Sheridan – and in UK and Europe. Some of my experiences in India include a month yoga intensive with Yogacharya V. Venkatesha in Mysore, traditional Iyengar workshops with Sharath Arora in Goa, classical Hatha Yoga in Rishikesh, Satsang and meditation in the Advaita Vedanta tradition in Tiruvannamalai.
In London I trained with Sarah Powers and I enjoy the deep transformative effect of Yin Yoga: stilling the body to powerfully stimulate the physical and energetic body. I hold a Pregnancy Yoga teacher certificate upon attending a detailed course with Uma Dinsmore-Tuli, a highly accomplished yoginis who inspires many all over the world with her books on yoga for women. I also have recently trained with Donna Farhi and enjoyed her clarity and integrated some of her principles in my own practice.
I offer passionate, competent and humble Yoga advice on personalized classes (one to ones) for specific health and conditions.
