About A Functional Anatomy of Yoga with Godfrey Devereux

A Functional Anatomy of Yoga Teaching ONLINE
WITH GODFREY DEVEREUX
4-5 September 2021: 10-5pm each day
How to teach anatomy to your students experientially.

When anatomy is learned from books it remains abstract information. It satisfies the mind but has no direct effect on the body or practice. There is a much more effective, and simpler, way to learn the anatomy necessary to yoga posture practice. One which directly and immediately supports the safety and effectiveness of yoga posture teaching and practice This way involves using the functional anatomy of the body to structure your classes and refine your language. Then you can develop classes that engage, open and integrate the body gradually and safely while allowing your students to stay in the experiential domain of the body, without engaging their minds. This will allow both them and you to remain more fully embodied and less susceptible to distraction.

Godfrey is also delivering his embodied resilience workshop on Friday 3rd September. You can book both the functional anatomy training and the embodied resilience workshop from this page for £180.
