About Yin Yoga – Beginners and Intermediates – The Fulbourn Center

A differently challenging, slow-moving session working on the inner tissues, bones, and joints. Practiced with perfect calmness and patience. This is rhythmic, moving meditation and flows like the music of a flute. This session really carries the original idea of sage Patanjali's definition of Asana - "Sathiram sukham asanam" - (Sitting steadily, peacefully without pain).

The session ends with Pranayam- Breathing. Ujjayi breathing throughout the session adds to the elegance of the session. Yin yoga really enables one to connect with oneself at the real moment, not at what would one be in the future.
