The term’ Gong-bath’ is often used because when the gong is played, the body is bathed in sound. Most people who experience the gong-bath become very calm and relaxed. Many find it is a similar state to practicing meditation but seem to go into that state much more easily with the sounds of the gong.
Do bring something comfy to lie on, you will probably want more than a yoga mat as this is an extended relaxation. A blanket and pillow or cushion and also something to cover your eyes if you like. Comfort is really important for relaxation.
