13th July 2.30-4.30pm
The session with begin with an Alchemical Crystal Sound bath and will be followed with the Green Tara Blessing by High Lama Ahbay Rinpoche.
The concept of a Great Feminine principle is common to many cultural spiritual and religious traditions as the generator and caretaker of life. She can be referred to as the Tara, Divine Feminine, Shakti, Mother Mary, Mother Earth, Gaia and so forth. The underlying common principle is that the Great Mother is considered a protector and guardian of life who comes to our aid to relieve physical, emotional, mental and spiritual suffering.
In spiritual traditions in the Himalaya, the female deity Tara the “Mother of all Budhhas” has many aspects. She has 21 major forms, each of which has a different colour and spiritual attribute. Of these 21 forms, Green Tara is associated with compassion in action, enlightened activity and abundance.
In Tibetan Buddhism, om tare tuttare ture soha is an ancient and powerful mantra. When chanting this mantra, and especially as the space is held by High Lama Abhay Rinpoche, we are collectively focusing this vibration and intent. In chanting the Green Tara mantra we ask for Tara’s blessings, compassion and assistance in removing obstacles and negative emotions asking for an enlightened body, speech and mind, not only for our own benefit, but for the benefit of all sentient beings.
It is useful to come with a specific inner intention of what you seek assistance with so the offering is focused for you. Chairs can be provided for anyone who is unable to sit comfortably on the floor with a mat and bolster.
