UPCOMING KUNDALINI YOGA NEWCASTLE SADHANA IN 2018:
If you’ve never heard of sadhana before, it is a morning Kundalini Yoga ritual of reciting sacred text (approx 30 mins); doing a set of physical postures or movements, called a kriya, followed by relaxation (approx 60 mins); and then meditating to 7 different mantras in Gurmukhi (approx 60 mins). The whole practice takes 2.5 hours and we have tea and biscuits afterwards!
There are no boundaries in Kundalini Yoga and it does not discriminate against physical ability, fitness level, age, gender, or body shape, so classes are suitable for everyone, universal and nondenominational.
How do I join a Kundalini Yoga Newcastle sadhana?
Due to the room’s limited capacity and the nature of its location, we run a ‘reserve your mat space in advance’ policy. Secure your spot for sadhana on any given Saturday via Eventbrite: kundalini-yoga-newcastle-sadhana.eventbrite.co.uk and then, if you wish, please make your donation on the day [cash payments only]. Please note, we are unable to accept unreserved drop-ins.
IMPORTANT: Please arrive 10-15 minutes beforehand to ensure that sadhana starts on time. Unfortunately, once sadhana is underway, latecomers will be unable to gain access due to a keypad-operated security system at the entrance to the Education Centre. We apologise in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.
What do I need to bring to a Kundalini Yoga Newcastle sadhana?
Please bring the following with you: yoga mat, cushion, blanket, bottle of water.
