In essence, this workshop has been designed to help you de-stress.
I truly believe that Yin yoga can be a really calming, soothing, and contemplative practice, as the long, passive poses give you time to listen to your body, releasing tension and calming your mind. Yin is not about building up sweat or getting a ‘yoga body’ – it is for anyone and everyone, particularly those who want to step out of their stressful lives, slow down and relax.
My name is Vicky and I teach functional rather than aesthetic yoga, encouraging you to focus on what you feel in your body rather than the shapes you are making. I look at everyone as individuals with distinct bodies and minds, helping you adapt your practice so it is uniquely yours.
As well as the short free online and audio classes I provide on a regular basis, I hold Yin Yoga workshops via Zoom once a month. These paid longer sessions are an opportunity to delve deeper into body and mind, and often include elements of meditation, pranayama and the ‘meridian theory’ of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
