Open Yoga Classes
The open yoga classes are open to anyone to attend. The classes are a combination of Vinyasa Yoga and Satyananda Yoga Nidra styles. The intensity of the class is based on the students’ prior yoga experience and varies from one class to another. Generally, the classes are tailored towards the lower level of experience of students attending, and therefore would be suitable for beginners.
Vynaysa flow is a style of yoga based on Ashtanga yoga, which allows for flow of movement and change in the sequence of the poses. It can get dynamic at times, with longer holds in certain positions. The class will have a theme which will run for about a month, allowing the students to learn the flow, but not get too used to and familiar with it, offering a new challenge every 4-5 weeks.
Yoga nidra is a deep relaxation technique based on Satyananda School of yoga. Yoga nidra can be translated as yogic sleep. It is a relaxation technique that most students find extremely rewarding.
This yoga class is a gentle yoga practice suitable for beginner and intermediate yoga lovers. The class will increase your flexibility, build strength and awareness, help release stress, and will leave you feeling floating. We will start with an energetic 60 minutes vinyasa flow followed by 15 minutes of deep relaxation practice, yoga nidra.
