Pregnancy Yoga Bow: we run a weekly pregnancy yoga class on a Monday evening in Bow, London.
Pregnancy is one of the most amazing experiences of a woman’s life and yoga has long been recognised, by doctors and midwives to be one of the most effective means of easing birth. By working and connecting the body, mind, and spirit, yoga can help a mother feel comfortable, relaxed and fit during pregnancy, support the health of her growing child and ease delivery and labour pains.
Pregnancy yoga has many benefits. On a physical level the specially adapted yoga postures will help strengthen tone and create flexibility in the body. The sessions will boast vitality, reduce stress and help relieve common pregnancy ailments such as back ache and fluid retention.
The breathing exercises relax the nervous system and bring increased oxygen to the body and therefore the baby. They are very useful to use during labour to help deal with the contractions.
Movements and positions which are beneficial for each stage of labour are incorporated into the class and each session ends with a relaxation.
The classes are also a great way to meet other mums-to-be who live locally.

Class Time, Location and Equipment
All our pregnancy yoga classes are offered in the early evening and located near to good transport links so you can pop along on the way home from work.
We believe you already have enough to carry; yourself and baby so all the equipment needed for class is provided.
