Restorative yoga uses adaptations of classic yoga postures during which your body is passively supported using props. This will allow your body to stay in the poses for longer periods of time (5-15 minutes depending on the pose and the individual). The focus is less on stretching and strengthening and more on releasing tension and increasing circulation and flexibility. There is minimum intensity and a regular practice can improve the immune system and restore the body and mind. The restorative classes are ideal for those with limited flexibility, stiff and aching joints, suffering from stress or anxiety or recovering from illness or injury. Places are limited to keep the classes small.
