Samavesa yoga immersions are 12 day deepenings of yogic practice and study. Set in the spiritual heart of Bali, this is an extended yoga retreat, a supported self-study, a safe space, a yogic bath, an immersive experience and an invitation to travel further along the path. Without any particular goal. For yoga students, yoga teachers and anyone interested in self-realisation, this is a 100hr yogic steep into ancient philosophy and practice.

A deep dive into asana, mantra, meditation, pranayama, nutrition, self-inquiry, philosophy, anatomy and yogic lifestyle.

An immersion that counts towards a TT with no pressure to teach. One that’s rich in knowledge but for your own curiosity. That’s packed full of practices to strengthen your energy body and led by world-class teachers to leave you inspired and informed. A way to go deeper and go back into the world feeling resourced and awake.

The accommodation is deeply comfortable so you can fully restore, and the shala is in the middle of the rice fields, surrounded by nature, in the spiritual heart of Bali. We also have our own on-site café, a beautiful pool and an Ayurvedic spa where you can be oiled and massaged and cared for.

HIGHLIGHTS

YOUR DAILY YOGA PRACTICE

Each day begins with a morning saddhana, followed by a short break and a two hour asana practice. You’ll have a long brunch and time to rest before we analyse the class and give you chance to share your experiences. The rest of the day is then dedicated to study modules, more rest and asana labs.

MODULES are study periods where we go deep into philosophy, history, anatomy, Ayurveda, diet, lifestyle, nutrition and self-care. We’ll be supported by our world-class guest teachers, Christopher Wallis and Rachel Ellery, and we’ll also bring in practitioners from Ubud to offer sound healings, breath work, masterclasses and other modalities for you to taste and indulge in.

LABS will focus specifically on asana and pranayama. We’ll break down poses, get clear on alignment, answer questions, go into safe sequencing, the art of sequencing and how to develop and enliven a home practice.

There will be two days without any study – just morning practices and evening restorative. And on three of the evenings you can choose to join us for excursions to the spa baths, ecstatic dance and a closing dinner at one of the beautiful vegan restaurants. There is also an optional trip to the water temple on the last day for a final blessing.

YOGA

Samavesa was conceived by Margherita Dal Pra and Collette Davis. Two yoga teachers, born on the same day, few years apart. We met on a 300 hour TT with Sianna Sherman in Berlin and came together out of a shared desire to support yoga students and teachers in their own inquiry, process and practice.

With so many teacher trainings out there, we didn’t want to create another but we did want to offer a strong container for serious study. Where students can deepen their knowledge, and teachers can find respite, inspiration and a return to their own sadhana.

So we created an experience that has no real agenda. A deep dive into asana, mantra, meditation, pranayama, nutrition, self-inquiry, philosophy, anatomy and yogic lifestyle.

ACTIVITIES

Optional evening trips to secret spas, sound healing pyramids, and a final closing blessing at the water temple.

Rest amongst the rice paddies, a short ride out of the centre of Ubud and synch up to the circadian rhythms of the abundant Bali nature.
