Slow vinyasa flow or Yin yoga
Slow Vinyasa flow compared to the athletic Vinyasa flow is ideal for beginners. The movements into the poses are never rushed, the practitioner has time to learn the poses and bring more focus to the breath.
Yin yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga, consists of a series of long-held (1-5 minutes), passive floor poses that primarily affect the lower part of the body—the hips, pelvis, inner thighs, lower spine. Yin yoga poses apply moderate stress to the connective tissue of the body—the tendons, fascia, and ligaments—with the aim of increasing circulation in the joints and improving flexibility. A more meditative approach to yoga, yin aims at cultivating awareness of inner silence.
