Science has proven that Yoga can have a transformative effect on the body; resulting in everything from lowered blood pressure to disease prevention. These benefits stem from Yoga’s stress reducing properties, through its unique mix of conscious breathing, and mindful physical movement.
We know yoga can often feel intimidating to complete beginners, with worries and misconceptions often stopping them from stepping onto a mat for the first time.
So, at Iveridge, we’ve put together a series of workshops for beginners. “Starting a Yoga Practice”.
These are the perfect gateway to Yoga, introducing the basic elements of the practice; movement, breath and relaxation, while also emphasising basic alignment principles.
Workshop 1 will be gently paced to accommodate everyone and will include both discussion and practice.
There will be concise and practical handouts allowing you to recap what you’ve learned (and provide some optional homework!) so you can safely move to either one of our regular timetabled classes, or to the next scheduled beginners Workshop, which will build and expand on the principles of this first workshop.
The workshops run on the last Sunday of each month from 10am to 12pm. The first workshop one is on September 22nd 2019.
