Press the reset button this weekend and join me at a Yin yoga class.
Yin yoga is not about building up sweat or getting a ‘yoga body’. It is for anyone and everyone, particularly those who want to step out of their stressful lives, slow down and focus.
My name is Victoria Ucele, and the long, passive poses I teach in my Yin classes give you time to listen to your body, releasing tension and calming your mind. The deep stretch also penetrates the connective tissue in areas so many of us have problems with, such as the back and hips, helping them to become stronger. I teach functional rather than aesthetic yoga, encouraging you to focus on what you feel in your body rather than the shapes you are making. I look at everyone as individuals with distinct bodies and minds, helping you adapt your practice so it is uniquely yours.
The drop-in class are held every week, and you can pay the £8 (or £4 for a trial session) on the day. Swansea Meditation holds a Buddhist meditation session afterwards from 11:00 – 13:00, so you are welcome to stay for that as well if you wish. These are contribution cost only.
