At Om Nom Health, we run yoga, meditation, mindfulness and relaxation classes for children.
Come and let your children experience the joy and fun that can be had from yoga! The classes are run by Emily; an experienced, fully qualified, DBS-checked children's yoga teacher, registered Nutritional Therapist and meditation teacher.
Classes are small enough to ensure personal attention and large enough to create an inspiring group energy. Students of all levels are welcome and we strive to inspire a unique experience for every student.
We focus on the introduction of yoga basics, rather than memorising or perfecting asanas and routines. The basic yoga techniques over time introduce the child to relaxation and self-control. Many yoga postures are named after plants and animals and resemble them. By imitating animals, children can learn and perform basic yoga poses.
The real purpose of a children's yoga class is to help them find joy within themselves and act from a place of connectedness. The class provides a framework in which they can blossom, so it must be allowed to flow and move in any direction the children take it. Yoga promotes physical strength because children learn to use all of their muscles in new ways. Whether a pose is done standing, sitting or lying down, each one can challenge various muscle groups while helping a child become aware of their body and how it efficiently functions.
Classes are engaging and fun, and promote a state of wellbeing on all levels.
