Classes are non-competitive and accessible enough for beginners while more advanced students are encouraged to challenge themselves.
Beginners:
The beginners course provides a systematic introduction to the theory and practise of yoga postures, breathing exercises and guided relaxation. A strong foundation is build as the student learns about the benefits of practise, the importance and benefits of yogic breathing techniques, proper relaxation, the principles of yogic diet, positive thinking and meditation. This course is the perfect foundation to prepare students to move on to getting the most out of attending open classes and developing a strong practice. Yoga practise promotes increased strength, flexibility and positive mental outlook.
Open:
Open classes include Pranayama (breathing exercises), deep stretches and a flowing asana (posture) sequence and guided relaxation. Standing, Inverted, forward bends, back-bends, sitting, balances and twists are practiced. Open classes are suitable for all levels.
Intermediate:
Intermediate classes work on advanced variations and longer holding in the asanas. Sanskrit chanting and yogic philosophy.
