About Little Yogis UK
As a certified Yoga Teacher and YogaKids Facilitator classes are based on the YogaKids framework.
Sessions are holistic, fun, dynamic, creative and noisy and provide a fresh new way to play yoga with children that combines fitness, fun and education. Each unique session combines yoga, ‘awesome anatomy’, nutrition and relaxation as well embracing the Early Years Foundation Stage syllabus that recognises every child is unique and should be encouraged to grow in confidence and to the best of their ability.
Yoga principles are absorbed through group activities, storytelling, singing, music, movement/dancing, counting, repetition, drawing, games, problem solving as well as postures and relaxation. Yoga increases mental and physical coordination, strengthens and tones the legs and hips and gives overall balance and calmness. Yoga works well alongside more traditional sports, as a complete yoga workout balances out the stresses of any sport and helps prevent injuries by correcting tightness or weakness in muscles, tendons and ligaments.
