About Yoga With Wai-Han

With over 15 years experience of practicing yoga, I feel very passionate about spreading the benefits of yoga. Not just for physical health, but also for our mental health.

We live in a world where we are constantly on-the-go; moving from place to place or meeting to meeting. Yoga allows us to connect with our body and mind, to restore and recharge.

It seems like nowadays, there is more and more emphasis on self-care. And this is because we all need to be reminded to take more responsibility for our physical and mental wellbeing. Our health is not to be taken for granted and sometimes we neglect our health and well-being due to the busy lives we lead.

My yoga journey began in 2005 in Battersea, London. At the time, I was a full-time primary school teacher, juggling never-ending tasks and was fully immersed in an intense work schedule. My mind was restless, I was constantly on-the-go and fast-approaching burnout. As I embarked on my journey into yoga, I was discovered how it allowed me to take a break from my fast-paced life and step into the quiet and calm. Being on the yoga mat gave me the opportunity to pause, breathe and connect with my body and mind.

I completed my 250 hour yoga qualification at the Sam Rao Yoga (Trainer Plus) Teacher Training School, accredited by Yoga Alliance Professionals. In 2018, I attended a 65 hour pregnancy and post-natal training with Cherie Lathey, a senior yoga teacher and Director of Yoga Mama Training School in Putney, London. In 2020, I attended a hip anatomy training day run by physiotherapist and 500hr yoga teacher, Andrea Leonard. I recently completed my Yoga For Teens training with Christaine Kerr, Director of Calm For Kids and mindfulness (MBSR) and yoga teacher.

My yoga classes focuses on you connecting with your body and mind – it’s all about the breath and movements. I always give options for different levels so that the class is accessible for all. Any hands-on or verbal adjustments will ensure you practice yoga safely and to support those who are new to yoga.

I teach public group, corporate and private classes in and around Maidenhead, Taplow Village, Bray, Cippenham and Wexham. Please do not hesitate to contact me of you would like to ask any further questions about my classes.

I look forward to meeting you on your yoga journey.

Wai-Han’s classes are so valuable, not only for physical well-being but also for mental well-being. Her classes are supportive and tailored to every level of ability. I highly recommend, whether you are an experienced yogi or a complete beginner, Wai-Han’s classes provide something for everyone. What a wonderful way to take some time out of life and look after you! (Not something that many of us do too often). Thank you Wai-Han…

I’ve attended Wai-Han’s pregnancy yoga sessions with a friend of mine and we always leave the sessions with both mind and body feeling completely refreshed, relaxed and calm. She is an amazingly attentive and patient yoga instructor who really connects with her clients. Wai-Han’s yoga sessions are definitely worth trying if you haven’t done so already. Highly recommended!

Wai-Han’s class is excellent. As a senior beginner it is intense and challenging, whilst being calming. Giving focus to your body and mind exclusively means you put aside all other thoughts – it is dedicated Me Time for healing. The exercises are progressive and linked. One is encouraged to push the boundaries while being mindful of one’s own limitations – work to your own comfort level. As an instructor Wai-Han is always welcoming, supportive, and helpful with continual guidance, reminders, tips, and pointers through out the class. One is so focused and in the zone that the 1 hour sessions… Read more »

Wai-Han is a very patient and kind instructor, her classes are tailored for beginners and experienced alike. There is always a very relaxed feel to the classes and she goes out of her way to create an atmosphere where you can truly focus on yourself.

Since starting classes, my sciatic back pain has been easier to manage and yoga has also helped with anxiety and stress management.

If you’re thinking of starting or returning to yoga, then I would thoroughly recommend Wai-Han’s yoga classes. The Monday night ones are ideal, with such an informal, relaxing atmosphere, that makes everyone feel welcome and comfortable. With the emphasis on breathing and connecting with your body, and constant encourgement throughout the class no matter your age, size, etc. I truly feel so much better after taking a bit of time of myself at least once a week – thank you Wai-Han.

Wai-Han classes are wonderful and I would highly recommend to anyone, whatever your level. She tailors her approach to the class and balances this with individual needs to make sure you get a great session, for your body and your mind. Her candlelight session in particular is a great way to take some time and space for yourself at the end of the week. Thank you Wai-Han!
