About Secret Yoga Cambridge

I teach a small, friendly open-level class at the Unitarian Church Hall in Cambridge every Tuesday evening and one to one classes for beginners and those looking to develop a deeper practice. I also teach at events and conferences and teach Workplace Yoga in person or online.

After nearly two decades of exploring many styles and forms of yoga, I qualified as a teacher in 2018. Since then I have attended further training, workshops and retreats, learning from many disciplines and styles but always with a focus on evidence-based techniques and accessibility.

I love Emma’s yoga classes. Her teaching is inclusive, warm and friendly. She always provides options for the different poses and never makes you feel as though you ‘should’ be able to do something a certain way. I’ve learnt from Emma’s classes both how to challenge myself and how to accept what my body wants to do. There’s usually a theme that runs through the class or a series of classes which I also find helps… Read more »

Emma is absolutely lovely. I took part in her outdoor yoga sessions over the summer and they were amazing.

Thanks Corrine – you’re very kind – we’ll be there again in the Summer

When i started going to yoga with Emma i felt i could do some things I never thought possible for me. I had been to a few other classes and i felt that i couldn’t do what everyone else was doing. I finally got to Emma and she helped me to try these different poses that i could not do with other teachers. Emma pays attention to how you are doing and provides help when needed. I am no spring chicken so i need some help sometimes and Emma notices and provides help. You couldn’t find a better teacher.

Emma Hood

Thanks Sharon, you are very kind. I’m so glad you found the class and thanks for being such a dedicated student.

Thanks David – teaching someone’s first class is always an honour, so I’m pleased it went well! And thanks for the review.
