Description:

I went to my first yoga class in the mid eighties. Since then I have attended many classes and been interested in trying out different styles of yoga. From going to a class once a week, it became twice a week  and gradually yoga became more and more important in my life until I found myself practising daily. It was not until 2017 that I finally embarked on a Yoga Alliance Teacher Training and I became a yoga teacher (RYT 200) in May that year. I have been teaching several classes a week since then.

The style of yoga I teach is a combination of Hatha and Vinyasa Flow. My classes are informal and friendly and are suitable for every body. Each week we explore different standing, seated and lying postures with a lot of focus on the breath. Classes always end with a lovely final relaxation.

Yoga has many health benefits and practising regularly enhances stability, strength and flexibility while promoting a sense of wellbeing.

All mats and other equipment are provided, including eye pillows and blankets for the final relaxation.

Sutton St. James Church Hall is a superb and well appointed space in tranquil surroundings and it provides ample free parking.

Karin’s classes are welcoming, encouraging and fun taught gently and safely with a mindful approach, Karin suggests alternative postures according to ability.
As a complete beginner I have improved in strength and flexibility and feel uplifted after each class. So happy to practice each week, Thank you Karin.

I have thoroughly enjoyed Karin’s classes for almost a year now. The sessions appeal to complete beginners and those developing their technique. The classes are informal, friendly and informative. Highly recommended.

I love Karin’s yoga classes, I have practised Yoga for about 6.5 years now and attended Karin’s class for the past year. Suitable for all levels and abilities, Karin is patient and she provides really good explanations and covers areas such as brething techniques etc.. I always leave the class feeling both energised and relaxed!

I had never practised yoga until I came to Karin classes last October. I find the classes most beneficial and extremely well taught. I now have a much better understanding of the concept of practicing yoga. . My overall strength and flexibility has improved tremendously. I would highly recommend Karins Yoga classes which cater for all abilities and ages. Namaste.

I always enjoy yoga with Karin. She is very friendly and has a sense of fun.. Her yoga instruction is excellent and I leave her classes with a sense of calmness and wellbeing.

Although I have been practising yoga for around 10 years I have learnt several new poses since joining Karin’s class last year . Karin is a very friendly person who explains the sequences really well and passes on her love of yoga in a fun way . I always look forward to the class and leave feeling relaxed and refreshed but knowing that I’ve worked to the best of my ability .

I’d wanted to start yoga for quite some time but didn’t really know where to go and was a bit apprehensive at going somewhere on my own but then heard about Karin and went along to a Friday class in Sutton and how glad I am that I went that first time because I enjoy it so much. Karins classes are very welcoming and relaxed and allows you to do as much as your ability allows you and I look forward to it every week and when I leave Karins class I feel so uplifted

I am a yoga novice and was recommended Karin’s class by my friend. Karin is a calm, confident and inspiring teacher who helps all in her class to both work to our own abilities but also to stretch ourselves. After only a few months of joining Karin’s classes I am more flexible, feeling stronger and love the end of class relaxation session, I leave each class with a sense of calmness and well- being.

Karin is an excellent yoga teacher, skilled and up to date in her practice, she has enthusiasm and reassurance and is welcoming to beginners and experts alike.
Her teaching leads you stepwise to postures that would be harder to achieve directly, ensuring the details of the posture are correct.
Her weekly sessions build together into a logical progression and comprehensive coverage of all facets of yoga.

I have been attending Karin’s classes for over a year now , this has helped me physically and mentally, there are all types of people that come along including men, Karin is well aware that we are all different and explains that you only do what your body feels like doing, it is definitely a lovely escape from reality.

Karin is a knowledgeable yoga teacher and her classes are meticulously prepared. It is a relaxed atmosphere whilst providing challenges to suit all levels. I would recommend the class to those looking to build strength, increase flexibility and achieve a sense of calm.
