Nourish your inner world and physical body
‘Yoga’ means ‘union of body, mind and spirit’. In my classes I honour that, giving space for all three elements.

BODY

In my classes, it’s important you get a good stretch. Most of us struggle to physically move enough in today’s society. Sitting in cars or at desks, our animal bodies grow uncomfortable.

Then, when we do get the chance to use our bodies, it’s easy to do it in an unbalanced way that leaves us with aches and pains.

Yoga gives us the opportunity to stretch and strengthen our bodies. With regular practice, you can slowly increase your flexibility and body awareness.

MIND

You are also invited to tune into your own inner world. What are you feeling? What are you thinking? Time on the yoga mat is a great way to slow things down so you can be present and mindful of your emotions.

Things come up on the mat that we’re dealing with in the outside world. Frustration. Feeling weak. Boredom. It’s a safe space to explore how we relate to ourselves and what’s going on in our world.

SPIRIT

I will also invite you to be aware if anything is happening on a deeper level. In this world, talking about spirituality is a danger zone but at the same time, a lot of us feel we’re missing something in our lives.

Yoga offers a way to reconnect with what nourishes us. Connection to ourselves, connection to others and connection to the natural world.

You will have the space to listen and connect in your own way.
