About My Classes:
I teach Hatha yoga. Hatha can be broken down as 'ha' meaning sun representing the masculine and active energy and 'tha' meaning moon, the feminine and more cool and receptive energy within all of us.
Hatha Yoga is a path towards creating balance and uniting opposites. It is also a powerful tool for transformation. We combine asana (physical postures), Pranayama (breath exercises), meditation and relaxation to help us still the fluctuations of the mind and be more present in the moment (mindfulness).
My lessons are based on traditional Hatha yoga and are holistic in nature, providing a work out and a work in for the mind, body and soul. I combine both dynamic movement or vinyasa (moving from one pose to the next whilst synchronising the breath) and static postures.
Classes are suitable for all levels as I provide steps up to a particular posture so there is something for everybody.
1-1 private lessons are designed specifically for the individual based on your needs and preferences.
I have been practicing yoga for over 25 years. I am a mother of 2 young children and juggle 2 jobs. Yoga has seen me through many ups and downs in my life and I simply couldn't imagine life without it! I am passionate about the benefits of yoga for health and well-being. In today's hectic and often stressful society, Yoga offers the perfect antidote by encouraging connection with our true selves and others. It is a work-in within a work- out!
I completed my Teacher Training with the highly respected Yogacampus. I continue to expand my knowledge by attending workshops and courses on a regular basis and studying texts.
