Contemplate yoga is a gentle yoga class for developing, promoting and strengthening the mind and body connection. I am a British Wheel of Yoga trained teacher, VTCT Holistic Therapist and Reiki Master and have planned my lessons to incorporate the traditional Indian Hatha Yoga with the universal energy teachings of Reiki. The classes are not devised as keep-fit sessions, they are powerful because they are physically gentle and work on the subtle energy system of the body.
The beginners classes will include gentle asana (postures) an introduction to pranayama ( breathing practices ) and relaxation and meditation techniques. We will work slowly and consider all our movements as this allows the mind to integrate into the body and vice-versa. As our practice develops we will include other traditional yoga techniques such as, mudras and bandhas and more advanced asanas.
Regardless of your current fitness or level or your existing yoga experience, yoga is a great way to holistically look after your body, mind and soul.
