About Anne’s Yoga

I am a BSY registered Yoga instructor and I teach gentle Hatha Yoga aimed at those over forty. My classes are accessible for all ages and abilities.

I teach students to be mindful of their bodies whilst practicing, so that they work within their personal limitations. Many of my students have physical injuries or problems such as spondylosis, arthritis etc, and most poses (asanas) can be modified to suit individual needs.

Yoga practice helps to gain and maintain flexibility, muscle and bone strength, balance and breath control. As well as physical benefits, yoga can help to ease anxiety, stress, insomnia and much more

All classes start with a very short grounding meditation and then a gentle head to toe warm up, which is very important to minimize risk of pulled muscles or injury to the joints. After the yoga practice, the class ends with a guided relaxation, because as well as physical practice for the body, it is very important to relax the mind as this has enormous benefits for wellbeing.

I have traditional mat classes in St Austell at the C4 Studio, Stennack Road,  2-3pm on Tuesdays and 10.30-11.30am on Fridays. Also at Gorran Haven on Wednesday mornings 11am-12 noon, and Treverbyn on Friday evenings, 5.30-6.30pm.I  run  Chair Yoga for seniors on Monday mornings at the C4 studios and Saturday mornings at the MAC Centre Mevagissey, both classes held at 10.30-11.30am.

All classes are friendly, informal and abide by social distancing and sanitizing regulations. If you have any questions or would like to come along to one of my classes, please give me a ring or text on 0751 9172806.

A friendly and relaxed class. Gentle but with the option to modify poses to individual need. Anne Is always encouraging to ensure we gain maximum benefit from our yoga practice.

Anne’s classes are very friendly and welcoming.
They are well planned to lead gently to poses that she demonstrates. She explains which areas of the body may benefit from a parlicular stretch and various ‘levels’ that you may adapt for your ability. She attends to each participant’s needs and observes and advises.
I’ve enjoyed all the classes that I have attended. They are gentle and relaxing I feel rejuvenated afterward.

I have been attending Anne’s yoga class for about 7 months and thoroughly enjoy the friendly, relaxed and supportive atmosphere. Anne is an excellent yoga teacher. She demonstrates and explains the yoga positions very clearly and also suggests alternatives if the exercises need to be adapted to suit your own needs. I always leave the class feeling relaxed and re-energised and would recommend the class to anyone who is looking for a gentle Hatha yoga class,

I have been attending Anne’s class for a couple of months or so. I have seen a huge improvement in my strength and flexibility. The class is relaxed and the poses are gentle but very affective, each pose demonstrated and explained. I really enjoy every lesson and look forward to the next.
