I grew up in Virginia Beach, Virginia in the United States. Fitness was never really my 'cup of tea', and you were more likely to find me on the stage than on a treadmill. In my early teens my mother went through a period of illness that completely weakened her physically. She began Yoga as a way to ease her pain, but became so hooked on it that now she is not only completely healed, but a certified Yoga Instructor. This inspired me to take my first Yoga class - and I hated it. But something pulled me back. And then again. I was hooked! After practicing for a few years and noting the incredible impact it had had on my life, I decided to pursue a teaching certification myself. In the summer of 2008 I became certified through Chesapeake Hot Yoga. Although Hot Yoga is my foundation, I enjoy employing a variety of styles both in my classes and own personal practice.
In June of 2009 I moved to Dungannon, Northern Ireland to be married to my amazing husband. We both enjoy traveling, cooking, and a good night of music. On the sidelines, I have a Bachelors of Fine Arts Degree in Theatre for Youth and still enjoy creating and leading dramatic workshops. I'm a geek for William Shakespeare, and would love to get on the stage again someday. Singing is another of my passions, but I try not to torture my Yoga classes with show-tunes. Fitness and nutrition are also keen interests. I am an eternal optimist and cannot wait to see what life has in store!
