
About Dharani Yoga
Over the years I have become known among many yoga lovers in Poole and Bournemouth for my unique teaching style. Yet, my classes are deeply rooted in traditional Hatha, contemporary Vinyasa and meditative Yin yoga styles.
Many of my students have been practicing with me for a number of years. Together we are continuously developing our knowledge to improve our wellness on all levels of our being. I have an intelligent and open approach to yoga, learning new things from ancient Eastern teachings and traditions as well as the wealth of Western scientific and cultural developments.
People attending my classes come from all backgrounds, but apart from a few exceptions are mostly in the 50+ age group. Many of them have joined my classes as beginners. Those who are completely new to yoga are always welcome to join both group classes and one to one sessions.
The classes are never exactly the same. They usually include some philosophy, breath work, meditation, mainly asana (yoga postures) and relaxation. Yoga is a science of happiness. Although during practice we may move out of our comfort zone, the result is therapeutic leaving us energised, balanced and calm.

Mirja is a most understanding Yoga teacher in that she understands the ambitions and indeed the physical limitations of individual members of her class. No one in the class is pushed beyond their physical ability and the benefits are felt mentally as well.
