🌺 Julie teaches a gentle form of yoga called VINYASA KRAMA YOGA, which simply means gentle flowing SEQUENCED movements that take STEPS towards classical yoga postures….always using the BREATH  to MINDFULLY guide the movement.

🌺 julie trained with Stephen Brandon Harmony School of yoga.

Grateful for Steve’s passion for yoga as a way to health, wellbeing and awakening. Choosing this style of vinyasa krama yoga because of its traceable, traditional yoga linage and logical steps towards traditional postures.

By Steve’s grace Julie was able to attend further courses and training with Indian yoga masters Srivatsa Ramaswami and Sribhashyam the son of the famous yoga teacher T. Krishnamacharya.  Precious and privileged opportunities.

It is said that the yoga master Krishnamacharya was forefront in illuminating the western world to yoga. Krishnamacharya taught Iyengar, famous for his own style of yoga and Patabhali Jois famous for his Ashtanga yoga, both of whom went on to develop their own yoga styles within the western world, and have become very well known in the world of yoga.

Mission Statement 🌼

My personal aim is to empower, uplift and inspire myself and others through the grace of yoga and creativity. Bringing this out of myself and others into the world for all to benefit, liberate and consciously explore potential to evolve authenticity and joyfully in these great times of transformation.

 

🌸  julie is also an artist and author of a book of poems entitled “Touching Spirit”

 

Julie practises 5 Rhythms dance movement and conscious dance and works on her own choreography …also plays the harp and enjoys being in nature.

 

 

🌸 julie has known yoga from a child through the inspiration of her mum. Her love of gymnastics and dance and philosophy developed into yoga.

Julie has been practicing yoga for many years and teaching a wide variety of students for several years including students with M.E , M.S and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome also students with physical disability and depression.

Julie’s mission is to take yoga where it is needed ..to be able the offer yoga to everyone and for the people who need it most to be able to access Julie’s yoga.

“ I feel passionate about helping people to help themselves and find that peaceful, authentic place within themselves, keeping it simple and uncomplicated “

🌺 Julie’s approach is gentle and mindful always working each movement with the breath, including relaxation and meditation.

🌸 Julie also is passionate about teaching ONE TO ONE yoga. Offering her own unique approach to empower others into wellbeing on all levels. Julie also has a room at the chiropractic plus clinic in Pocklington where  she is available on Thursdays/Fridays to see clients on a one to one basis please contact Julie

Julie and I have been enjoying 1:1 yoga sessions for several years, having first met on several yoga study retreats. Each consultation I have had with her has been a wonderful experience, done in Julie’s quite unique style. I feel that she has the skill, training, compassion and connection to the Universe to tailor a session to whatever personal energy and needs a person has.

I love Julie’s class on Saturday in Millington Village Hall. A lovely friendly group. I have gone to yoga classes on and off for many years but Julie is so much more than a good teacher. The yoga is amazing. I wish I could join more of Julie’s classes.

Julie came to run a yoga session with our Beaver scouts. Engaging 35 children for an hour is hard but, Julie was fantastic at it. All the children thoroughly enjoyed the session. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Monday’s are my favourite day of the week since I have found Julie’s yoga class and I find it a great start to my week. I come home feeling refreshed and at one with myself and everything around me. Julie is very professional and such a lovely soul, and I love her lessons which include learning the sun salutations, breathing and meditation. Taking up this class was positively the best thing I have done and it’s helping me in many ways…I would definitely recommend Julie’s class xxx

Julie has played her harp for us during relaxations at some of our workshops at the Rising Dawn Sanctuary, Wholistic Centre which took us all to new levels of bliss!. I highly recommend her classes and booking her to play the harp at your events. She’s a wonderful artist too!

I have attended Julie’s yoga class in Flamborough since it started almost a year ago and have enjoyed every class, always leaving more relaxed and in a far better frame of mind than when I went in. The classes are always friendly and Julie has a special way of making you feel more relaxed immediately she begins to speak. My breathing, posture and expecially my appreciation of life have all improved since my first meeting Julie and joining her in yoga.

I have just joined Chair Yoga run by Julie. After having had two hip replacements I am not so flexible. Julie has a quiet, relaxing voice and concentrates on “the breath” in her classes. You can feel the benefit of the exercises from the chair and the control of the breathing. I am a really bad sleeper and I’m hoping Julie will help in teaching me how to meditate.

Julie has been doing chair yoga with my group of lady’s in chantry court for the last 4 months everyone who comes along enjoys the yoga. we have people of all abilities and ages and has helped people with joint pain to people with anxiety. julie is very professional and accommodating with our group and looking forward to learning more in the new year
