CLASS TIME TUESDAY 7.45-9.15 pm
This class starts with gentle posture along with meditation techniques to loosen the body and the relax the mind. The posture slowly build into more challenging positions for core strength and flexibility, then unwind to settle the body to prepare for pranayama techniques and meditation practices. Sometimes we will use mantra or sound to release more subtle blockages. ALL LEVELS WELCOME. There will be plenty of instruction for beginners and the options for deepening the postures for more advanced practitioners.
This class will re balance the whole system and replace unhealthy body and mind behaviors with more helpful attitudes.
The aim of my practice and teaching is to help people find ways to undo the knots within their muscles and their minds, at the same time cultivate the mental strength, stability and one pointed focus to overcome any hindrances life throws at us. The hindrances that prevent the present moment from being an intrinsic part of our everyday existence. Of course, the by-products of practicing with this intention are health, strength, fitness, flexibility and more choice in the way we react.
I have been inspired by yogic philosophies since I was 7 years old. I began to explore the practices at the age of 18. 18 years on and my passion for yoga has only grown stronger.
