I'm Kelly, my background is in midwifery and I qualified from Kings College London in 2008 as a Midwife. After practicing yoga for the last 20 years I decided to train with Sally Parkes in 2017 and complete the 85h Pregnancy Yoga Teacher Training. I'm also a mum of 2 energetic little ones and based in Seaford, East Sussex.
I run an evening pregnancy yoga class in Seaford and 2 day time pregnancy yoga classes at Meads Yoga Studio, Eastbourne. These classes combine elements from pregnancy to prepare you for your labour, birth and meeting your baby. Each week we explore a different theme from endurance for labour to optimal fetal positioning to relaxation techniques. Classes vary in intensity and are suitable after your 12 week scan until 42 weeks of pregnancy.
I run 2 mum and baby yoga groups - one in Seaford and one in Newhaven. These classes are designed to be very relaxed where you can socialise and enjoy yoga, whilst caring for your little one. This class is suitable for beginners and those with a strong yoga practice, from 6 weeks after vaginal birth, 10 weeks after operative birth.
I teach labour and birth preparation classes for women and their birthing partners . This class combines antenatal education and pregnancy yoga to prepare you for when your special day arrives. I offer one to one sessions at your home at a time that suits you, as well as group sessions at home or local location. They can be tailored to your needs and I'm happy to discuss a session or programme to suit you.
I'm incredibly passionate about women's health and maternal mental health and I'm so happy to see more research showing how much yoga can benefit in pregnancy, physically and emotionally.
