Welcome to Seaford Yoga. I'm Lisa Skelly, a qualified Hatha and Vinyasa Flow yoga teacher based in Seaford, East Sussex. To me, yoga is pure magic. It has given me strength, gratitude, peace, health, healing, self esteem and the list goes on. It is truly a life changing practice. I became a yoga teacher so that I could encourage other people to embrace this beautiful practice and spread the love!
I teach yoga on tuesdays evenings and saturday morning at The Yurt in Seaford.
My style of teaching is influenced by a variety of different types of yoga. I am qualified in Hatha and Vinyasa, however I take little snippets of other styles and use them to inspire my practice as well. Vinyasa Flow is my favourite style which is a fluid yoga. We flow from one posture into another connecting movement with breath. I like to pause in certain asanas to encourage students to notice the sensations in their bodies as we deepen the stretch. My style has an improvisational feel. I like to encourage students to move the way that feels right them, while still teaching the correct adjustments for physical health. Yoga is a personal practice and one posture will feel completley different to each person in my class. For this reason, i will teach you to listen to your own body as i guide you through a session.
