About Leigh-yoga

My teaching is influenced by my Hatha training with the British Wheel, my interest in mindfulness and the teachings of Vanda Scaravelli.

Practicing the Yoga postures and breathing exercises in this way not only strengthens and tones the body, but improves the flow of energy – regulating the body and breath, and bringing stillness to the mind.

Everyone can practice this form of yoga, as it is completely suitable for beginners and those of real experience.

My classes are all drop in and take place in a centrally heated, quiet and carpeted room. With a lovely secluded garden, which we sometimes use in the summer.

Monday evenings at 6.30pm – 7.30pm
Monday evenings at 7.45pm – 8.45pm
(Runs without a break and throughout summer holidays)

Tuesday mornings at 10-11.15am
Yoga and Mindfulness
(Runs without a break and throughout summer holidays)

Wednesday lunchtime at 12.30pm – 1.30pm
Wednesday evenings at 6.15pm – 7.17pm
Wednesday evenings at 7.30pm – 8.30pm
(Runs throughout summer holidays * but see below for breaks)

Saturday and Sunday regular monthly yoga and mindfulness sessions

“I’ve been practicing yoga for over 10 years and going to Yvonne’s classes for quite a few of them, always drawn back by her warmth and gentle humour. I like the fact that each of us are encouraged to go at our own comfortable pace. Perhaps that’s why this class has that rarest of things – an even mix of men and women at all abilities.
