Anxious? Stressed? Depressed? Simply want to boost your wellbeing? Yoga Therapy for the Mind is a unique blend of yoga, psychotherapy, neuroscience and mindfulness which blends ancient yogic philosophy with modern science.
While Yoga Therapy for the Mind was created to support people struggling with stress, anxiety, depression and PTSD, these Minded Yoga therapy classes will support anyone wanting to boost wellbeing and learn how to use your body and breath to work with the autonomic nervous system to retrain your brain and improve heart health.
In addition to this unique psycho-education aspect, each class includes a physical yoga practice to improve flexibility, strength, stamina and mood.
These yoga classes are kept small (up to 4 people plus Eve) to ensure lots of personal attention, whatever level of yoga practice you are at. Beginners might also feel more at ease here than in a larger class.
Because of limited spaces, places are bookable in advance but, while regular attendance will help you build your practice and ground your learning, you are free to choose the themes and dates that suit you best.
Class themes include: Mood Boosts, Energise, Balance, De-stress, Sleep Well, Get (and Stay) Motivated, Grounding, Goodbye Inner Critic, Love Your Body, Concentration Boosts, Staying Calm in a 24/7 World and Trusting Life.
Feel Better Every Day provides free parking, mats and props (although you are welcome to bring your own if you prefer). You may also choose to bring a blanket or wrap for the relaxation segment but there are plenty for you to choose from.
* If you\'re interested but Tuesday or Thursday evenings or Saturday mornings don't suit you, Eve is happy to offer private classes for you and up to three friends or colleagues where you choose the theme/s you want and have more options regarding available times and dates. (Larger classes are available elsewhere).
Individual sessions (during office hours, evenings and on Saturdays are arranged privately.
