About the class

We offer an ideal way for the 50+ age group to manage their blood pressure and bring some zen into their life.

Yoga classes help develop breathing techniques and your intuitive ability, which help the young at heart deal with the demands of modern life. As a result stress and many illnesses such as depression, anxiety and high blood pressure can be overcome by attending yoga classes designed for the 50+.

Our UK Yoga for 50 plus course provides elasticity to the spine, firming up the skin, removing tension from the body, strengthening the abdominal muscles, and improve the quality of muscle tone and correct bad posture.

About the Yogi Instructor

Sivananda Yoga & Meditation teacher since 1984.

I spent 7 years in New Delhi as the Director of the ​Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centre. Where I taught courses at the UNESCO offices in Delhi, HSBC Delhi, embassies & corporate offices.

I then Qualified as an Art of Living teacher In ​Europe ​in the following categories:

  • Yoga for ​All ages
  • Youth course (YES) Youth Empowerment Seminar teacher for teenagers 14 -18
  • ART Excel – ‘All Round Training in Excellence’ teacher for children – ages 8-13.

I also teach basic san​skrit, Mantra chanting (Healing) therapy, Advanced Yogic detox ‘Kriya’ Workshops, Bhajans in Sans​k​rit (singing) therapy classes. Yogic diet, Ayurvedic diet workshops.
