I teach friendly yoga and meditation classes in Sidcup, Bexley and Hextable, Swanley.
The classes are aimed at beginners to improvers - you don't need to be flexible to start!
I also teach one-to-one and small group sessions in my home yoga studio in Sidcup.
I provide all yoga equipment, including mats but please bring a blanket for relaxation.
Please wear comfortable clothing that is suitable for exercise and allows for full range of movement. We practice barefoot.
It is not advisable to eat a full meal for at least 3 hours before a yoga class. Traditionally yoga is practised on an empty stomach, however I find that most students prefer to eat a light snack 2-3 hours before practising to ensure their energy level is stable.
Each week I teach a different sequence of poses (asana) with the intention that the students experience a full range of yoga postures: standing poses, seated and floor poses, twists and abdominal toners, forward bends and backbends. We begin the class with a breathing exercise (pranayama) and breath awareness is carried throughout the class. The class always ends with a meditation followed by a lying relaxation known as Savasana.
Wednesday: 9.30 AM - 11:00 AM, 6:00 PM - 7:15 PM, 7:30 - 8:45 PM
Friday: 9:30 AM - 10:45 AM***, 11 AM - 12.15 ***
*** during the summer there is only one Friday morning yoga class at 10am
