About Kundalini Yoga

About Kundalini Yoga

“Kundalini” refers to the creative energy that lies latent in every individual. Kundalini Yoga itself is timeless and precedes Yogi Bhajan.  However, it was Yogi Bhajan who introduced this ancient, powerful, sacred and transformative technology to the Western world.

A Kundalini Yoga class incorporates physical exercises, mudras (hand gestures), chanting, meditation, relaxation and music.  With regular practice, a student will begin to notice the gentle release of body, mental and emotional blocks, heightened awareness, a clearer mind, a stronger body and a calmer outlook.

Come and experience the fun and wonder of Kundalini Yoga for yourself J

About me

Level 1 (KRI certified, 200 hour Yoga Alliance accredited). Currently training for level 2 (500 hour)

A lawyer and academic by necessity (!) I have been practicing yoga and meditation since university.

I particularly loved Astanga, Sivananda, Anusara and Yin yoga and had the opportunity to study with inspiring teachers. I explored different meditative practices – notably Vipassana, and the Himalayan Tradition.

Serendipity brought me to a Kundalini Yoga class and I immediately decided to embark on teacher training. I have been teaching for two years and feel blessed and excited to share this elevating and truly transformative technique with whoever turns up to class.

About You

All are welcome, regardless of perceived ability 

This class is suitable for complete beginners as well as experienced practitioners. You will work at your own pace.

All you need to do is to show up!

A flexible mind precedes a flexible body.

Ps we do not do headstands!

Please wear loose comfortable clothes; bring your own yoga mat and something to cover yourself with during relaxation.
