About Vibrant Italy – Yoga Retreat in Tuscany

The Retreat

The days will start with an energizing, 2-hour vinyasa flow yoga practice. Expect to flow, twist, invert, and dive deeper into your practice than ever before. We will also take the opportunity to meditate for longer periods of time allowing for the benefits of the yoga practice to really take effect.

After yoga and Italian brunch, we will set off on the adventure of the day (to Siena or San Gimignano for example) or spend the day at the lovely borgo, taking walks in the vineyards or bike riding through the countryside, or taking a cooking class. Relaxing by the pool or on the terrasse enjoying the view of the country side is always an option.

In the evening we will regroup and have a slow, gentle, luxurious yoga practice to unwind from the day and reflect on the beauty around us. Afterwards we will enjoy a delicious home cooked Italian meal.

Expect to be carried away by the Italian culture, food, language, and beauty, taking this opportunity to relax, rejuvenate, and be inspired!

Jill discovered yoga in college as a means to exercise and relieve stress. She quickly found herself practicing daily, deepening her yoga practice and benefitting from the emotional and eventually spiritual aspects of the practice. Since her first job out of college in Chicago, she has moved around the globe from Frankfurt, to London, to Quebec and now Washington DC studying and teaching yoga along the way. She credits the practice of yoga to providing peace, empowerment and abundance in her life.

Jill completed her 200-hr yoga teacher training at triyoga in London, UK led by my teachers Jane Kersel and Kate Ellis. Jill has also completed triyoga’s 48-hour prenatal yoga teacher training in 2011, guided by Nadia Narain.

She has studied with US teachers including Shiva Rea, Seane Corn, and Anna Forrest and UK teachers including Bridget Woods-Kramer, Anna Ashby, and Rebecca (Rivka) Parker. Jill is grateful for the wisdom and inspiration shared by her teachers and is excited to provide the opportunity to teach the powerful benefits of the yoga practice with others.

The classes Jill teaches infuses her vinyasa-based practice with the strength and precision of alignment to provide a strong, fluid, and self-serving practice. Jill teaches vinyasa flow, yoga fundamentals, prenatal, yin, and gentle flow. She also teaches classes tailored to the office worker, runner, and skier.
