About Yoga with Mieke
Mieke has been practicing Yoga since the early Nineties and has trained in many forms of Yoga, including Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga, Iyengar, Sivananda, Satyananda and Yin Yoga and also studies Qigong. Mieke is based in London’s Notting Hill. She has trained with many of the best international teachers including Max Strom, Anodea Judith, Kim Eng, and recently has attended workshops with Ana Forrest, Rod Stryker and Sarah Powers and she has decided to continue to study with Rod Stryker. Mieke is a member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists and trained with Heather Mason at the Minded Institute, this 500 hour training program includes Yoga Therapy, Mindfulness, Neuroscience and Psychotherapeutic Support.
Mieke’s classes are based on the Hatha Yoga techniques of relaxation, breathing, warm up excercises, sun salutations, and postures. The focus especially being on the breathing and stretching and also Mieke incorporates some of her Qigong experience into the practice. The aim is to improve strength and flexibility as well as developing the ability to relax.
Mieke has developed lunch time classes of an hour, wear comfortable clothing, no sweating. Give yourself some time to re-energise and refresh over lunch. Experience a unique combination of relaxation, work-out and silence balancing body, mind and soul. Boost up your energy and leave refreshed and alert.

Mieke is a good yoga teacher, the yoga exercices are challenging but fun!
Mieke is an excellent yoga instructor and I would thoroughly recommend one of her classes. They are challenging but also with amazing breathing and relaxation exercises too. Very good for stress reduction at the end of a busy day as a GP!

I have been enjoying Mieke’s yoga Lessons for over a year now and would recommend it to anyone interested in yoga, beginner or advanced. Her classes are a nice mix if both engaging and releasing the muscles which has a very relaxing effect. At the end if the practise she tends to do a final relaxation and her voice somehow really takes you away… Love her lessons!
Mieke is a fab yoga teacher. I live in Amsterdam bit each time I’m in London I go to one of her classes and feel reborn!!
Mieke is an excellent teacher and is very calm and patient and has really lovely classes that stretch to your own capabilities ( and in lovely venues) – and her prices are very reasonable.

I think that Mieke is an amazing yoga teacher and I thoroughly enjoy her challenging and yet fantastically de-stressing class. It is well worth it, try it to experience it.
I’ve had a few other yoga lessons before joining Mieke’s class, but none which have given me so much energy and relaxation at the same time! Because of Mieke’s classes I’ve become a huge fan of yoga!
I can easily say that Mieke is my favorite yoga teacher. Mieke is an experienced and passionate yoga teacher. She’s got a really nice teaching style and will keep the classes excited by introducing new postures and she and she demonstrates the poses very well.
I really enjoy Mieke’s yoga classes. She is an experienced teacher who explains very well the different steps of the exercises and makes you feel at ease.
I especially like the fact she combines different yoga techniques and trainings; it makes her classes more diverse and fun!
I can’t recommend this course more. I got recommended the course when I was going through a difficult stage in my life and thanks to wonderful Mieke and her brilliant course my life has been completely transformed. Mieke is incredibly special – experienced, kind, patient and her classes are enjoyable. With a combination of different postures, excercises, breathing and relaxation the classes are exciting, rewarding and great fun. I can’t recommend Mieke and the course enough – if I had the time and money I would do the course over and over again!
Mieke is a wonderful Yoga teacher and a great & fun person! She knows and also ask what her students need and want.
I enjoyed Mieke’s “Yoga Therapy For the Mind” 8 – weeks course which combines Yoga with Mindfulness and more. It was always a pleasure & relaxing going to these classes where Mieke incorporates all here knowledge.
A knowledgeable & fun teacher for which I don’t mind travelling from the other side of London to attend her classes!
