About Yoga for You

Shital has been practicing yoga for over fifteen years. She completed her teacher training with Sandhana Mala and teachers Dave Charlton and Ranju Roy. She teaches group classes and 1-2-1 individual sessions.  The yoga is focused on the teachings of Krishnamacharya and his son Desikachar, with an emphasis of coordinating breath with movement. She is a member of the Association of Yoga Studies.

She teaches regular group class on Monday mornings and Wednesday evenings; teaching workshops at the weekend and provides one to one instruction that is tailored to suit the individual. 

Shital’s approach to yoga is focused on the application of breath with movement working with awareness and appreciation of the individual.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, Shital is teaching classes online via Zoom, if are interested in joining, please get in touch for the revised times.

Shital makes everybody feel welcome and is great at explaining the postures and sequences, including any adaptations required for individuals. Her classes are beautifully planned, so that each session has its own shape and builds into acquiring more understanding, strength and suppleness. Suitable for a wide range of abilities and levels of experience, including people recovering from injuries or operations. We leave feeling refreshed and ready for the rest of the week!

I have been attending yoga classes for about 12 years and have been attending this class for about the last 3 years. I started with the Wednesday night class and I am now able to attend the Monday morning class as I have recently retired. I also attend her yoga workshops at weekends, whenever I can. Shital is a wonderful teacher – she has a very calm and relaxed way of teaching. She adapts the practice to individuals and is very attentive to all students – I can’t praise her enough.
