Jenny always wanted to study Yoga at its source and her dream became a reality when she went to study in India under Yogacharya Lalit Kumar. She was trained in Ashtanga inspired yoga with Iyengar alignment techniques and methodology. Because she studied in Yoga’s birthplace, her style of Yoga is very authentic, combining asana, pranyama, mantras and meditation. Yoga is a complete science and Jenny believes it should be practiced as such.

Jenny has been practicing yoga for 10 years and knows first hand the benefits it has on both the mind and body. She has a strong anatomical knowledge and ensures students are in the correct alignment in order to both deepen their practice and prevent injury.

The relaxation techniques incorporated in yoga can lessen chronic pain, such as lower back pain, arthritis, headaches and carpal tunnel syndrome. Yoga can also lower blood pressure and reduce insomnia.

Other physical benefits of yoga include:

Yoga can be very effective in developing coping skills and reaching a more positive outlook on life.

Yoga’s incorporation of meditation and breathing can help improve a person’s mental well-being. Regular yoga practice creates mental clarity and calmness; increases body awareness; relieves chronic stress patterns; relaxes the mind; centers attention; and sharpens concentration.
