Art and yoga day retreat
Saturday 4 August | 11am – 4pm

Enjoy a relaxing day of gentle yoga and slow-looking at National Gallery paintings.

At this day retreat, Mel Sutton will guide you in introductory-level yoga stretching and Christina Bradstreet will use mindfulness techniques to guide you in looking at and discussing paintings in small groups.

Find a place of stillness, explore you creativity, and learn to see art differently.

Beginners are welcome, please bring a yoga mat. A delicious salad lunch included.

Tutor biographies

Mel Sutton is a yoga and mindfulness teacher with a background in health and wellbeing. She has been facilitating groups in mindful exploration finding calm and creativity in the present moment for over 20 years.

Christina Bradstreet is Courses and Events Programmer at the National Gallery. She is an art historian and gallery expert with experience of leading mindful-looking sessions.
