About Yoga with Jane Giacone

I teach Hatha/ Vinyasa flow yoga classes. This style uses the breath and postures to flow through varied sequences. Students should expect to sweat, opening the body in a compassionate and intelligent way: Warming up the body, beginning with breath work, building up from a gentler to a stronger pace and then slowing down to a deep relaxation at the end.

Students are encouraged to learn to connect with their own bodies and work from where they are in a non- competitive environment. Most poses can be adapted to suit different people.

Classes are designed to allow students time to focus on the self and to work on the body by making it stronger and more flexible with careful attention to correct alignment as well as using the breath as a tool to anchor the mind and observe the self without judgement.
