The Yoga Pod offers group Vinyasa flow classes to students of all levels at the Cambrian Community Centre on Richmond Hill.

Vinyasa flow yoga combines breath with movement and posture in a continuous flow. Emphasis is placed on building and retaining heat in the body in order to safely and effectively mobilise joints and strenghten and stretch muscles, whilst simultaniously drawing the focus inward and calming the mind, hence this type of yoga often being referred to as a ‘movement meditation’.

Maisie Whitehead is a Yoga Alliance certified teacher and a professional dancer and aerialist. She brings her extensive knowledge of the body and movement to her yoga teaching, with careful attention to alignment of postures and a focus on working from within the individual’s present limitations in order to deepen and develop your practice harmoniusly.

GROUP CLASSES - there are currently no regular group sessions. Please join the mailing list via our website for info on upcoming classes and events.


Maisie is also available for private one to one and groups sessions. Perfect for those with a busy schedule or who want a bit more individual attention to develop their practice. Sessions can be arranged at a time to suit you and can be held in your own home or at The Yoga Pod at the Cambrian Centre Richmond. Please contact for more information.

If you want a teacher who gets to know your yoga needs then Maisie is the teacher for you! Calm, relaxing atmosphere yet a class which gently challenges at any level. I am so delighted to have found a class that both fits in to my working life yet is so personal.

Maisie is a knowledgeable and patient teacher. Her classes are clearly explained and well demonstrated. She manages to accomodte a mix of beginners and more experienced practitioners by offering adjustments and variations for more difficult poses. Her classes combine elements of meditation and philosophy alongside yoga practice. I’m a regular attendee and would recommend the classes to anyone thinking of taking up yoga or wanting to develop their practice.

Maisie is a superb teacher: very knowledgeable, extremely kind and passionate about yoga. These are wonderfully invigorating classes, with clear guidance given and very helpful individual adjustments if needed. I highly recommend them to everyone, from beginners to those wishing to deepen their practice.
