YOGA AT CANADA WATER LIBRARY – ALL ARE WELCOME. Come and enjoy a fun, relaxing 1.5 hours of hatha yoga, whether you are a complete beginner or an established yogi. Come and learn something new and feel the benefits that yoga has to offer.
We will be practicing from the teachings of Sivananda Yoga. Learning the 12 basic postures with variations and adaptations, breathing exercises, relaxation, meditation and more.
I am a fully qualified and experienced teacher and therapist, I have a background in holistic therapies specialising in pre conception and maternity. I also work within the area of oncology, using accessible yoga and relaxation to suit the needs of the patient.
I welcome everyone to my class, if you are feeling out of shape, not flexible or that yoga is just for a certain type of person – well please come and give it a try if you are at all interested. I believe you will feel so many benefits, whatever your starting point! Come and give it a go!

Classes will be held every Wednesday evening starting from 10/05/17 at 1830 – 1945 (though do please check the website for up to date details).
We will be on the 3rd floor at Canada Water Library. We will not gain access to the room until 1830 on the dot, so please do arrive early enough to allow time to get changed in the ground floor toilets (lots of space) and find the room number (it won’t always be the same, so check on the boards).
You will need to bring your own mat, but this is a great incentive to practice at home, plus I always prefer to use my own mat. If you don’t have one Decathlon is 2 minutes away from the library, so again please give yourself time to come prepared.

Yoga is a way of life and more than physical exercise. Classical yoga is a holistic approach that incorporates every aspect of our being to bring balance and harmony into our daily life allowing us to reconnect to our true nature of inner peace.

We welcome all to our yoga classes, where we teach with a simple and easy approach based on the teachings of Swami Sivananda and Swami Vishnudevananda.

What to expect?
The classes will be lead by very experienced and passionate teacher, who will guide you through pranayama (breathing exercises) asanas (postures), meditation and relaxation.
The practice of yoga is completely individual, there is no competitiveness, and no need to be flexible. We really want your experience to be about feeling good, and taking some time for yourself! So come along and get ready to chill! Wear something loose and comfortable.
