My practice and teaching focus on using the bodyâ€™s core strength to support the lengthening and surrendering into postures; synchronizing the flowing movement with the rhythm of the breath. Working safely is important and as yoga is an internal practice - feeling the posture rather than worrying what it looks like is the aim.
In our sessions we warm the joints, work dynamically flowing in and out of postures, leading into deepening into each posture. Each personâ€™s body is different so each person works within his/her own range of movement. There is no competition. We use breath work (pranayama) to lead to stillness and concentration.
