Pilates for Runners is a sports specific class that incorporates Yoga,Pilates and Functional Fitness specifically for runners.
The course is for all levels of runners, and those who have or have not done Yoga or Pilates before.
We design the first 6 week course around understanding what Runners need, the issues and injuries that you suffer from and the weaknesses that cause these injuries.All of the exercises will be aimed at this on a basic level incorporating the fundamental skills of Pilates.
Running without taking care of muscular imbalance and re-hab of those constant overused muscles, contributes to long term physical issues.Those issues can leave you never quite in the correct condition to improve your running or leave you having to stop training altogether.
You cannot learn a subject effectively without going away and taking some time to learn the small details, a long term stretching and strengthening program will be cheaper than a personal trainer but working to a common goal with like minded individuals.
It saves expensive physio sessions and missing important races.
I combine a wealth of knowledge from over 20 years of fitness, Pilates ,Yoga and working with sports teams at Manchester City F.C for strength and conditioning.
The sessions are fun, fully inclusive and very informative and will help you improve your time, injury prevention and your general postural function.
