Having embraced yoga as a teenager, my original training was with the Inner Yoga Trust. Subsequently I have embraced a range of styles and have been lucky enough to be a student of some wonderful pioneering teachers: Diane Long, Angela Farmer, Jenny Beeken and Dharma Mitra.
I love the transformative power of yoga. It's ability to help students be the most flexible, alive and happy they can be.
My classes and 121's have the goals of increasing flexibility and strength; realising individual's physical and mental potential. Breath is the key to a successful practice and moving towards considered reflection and equanimity as opposed to scattered anxiety.
Working with an osteopath in 1999 I formulated a yoga programme specifically for those suffering with extreme back pain. This programme has been particularly successful in the corporate field, where sedentary/computer based working practices 'take their toll' on the hydration, flexibility and strength of the spine and its supporting musculature.
