Yoga uses the body and breath to bring the mind back down to earth. So many of our pressures are created in our minds, which are predisposed to negative rumination.
By using the body and breath mindfully, yoga can calm and energise the mind. This empowers us to build a healthier body and mind, to find freedom beyond any negative habitual thoughts.
Neuroscience confirms many of yoga's benefits in its ability to reduce the body's response to anxiety, bringing rest and feelings of well-being. Published medical research has shown anxiety, depression, insomnia and stress have been reduced through Minded Yoga. Symptoms of chronic conditions like high blood pressure, heart disease, IBS, inflammatory bowel disease and diabetes are also relieved. Those with cancer, inflammatory conditions, Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, chronic pain, and muscular skeletal issues can be supported.
A new course for a small number of students (maximum 10) will be running from Wednesday 18th January 6.30 - 8.30 pm - please contact Judy for details.
One to One Yoga Therapy is also available
