Pregnancy Yoga:
Gentle stretching, deep relaxation and connecting with your breath. Time for you to enjoy your beautiful pregnant body and connect with your baby as you prepare for labour, birth and beyond.

ASANAS postures designed to help you stay strong yet supple throughout your pregnancy, soften and open ready for the birth of your baby, and tackle common (and not so common) pregnancy symptoms such as SPD, back ache and sciatica;

PRANAYAMA work with your breath to nurture and nourish yourself & baby, for calm and control when your mothering journey overwhelms you and to refresh you when you need a boost;

MEDITATION for calm, to get to know yourself, to prepare for change;

DEEP RELAXATION to create a sense of protection, well being and tranquility.

Yoga in pregnancy is all about you & your baby and in these classes the yoga will meet you where you are right now so that you can find in it just what you need to feel nourished & nurtured as you grow your baby.

Post Natal Yoga with your baby:
Relax, refresh & regain your posture following the birth of your baby - close your abdomen, realign your spine & pelvis and delight in loving your body as a new mother.

Feel strong, beautiful & confident as you discover the joy of motherhood.

Learn to take time to reflect, refresh & relax whilst staying close to your little one.

Nurture & nourish yourself with your breath; calm & soothe your baby with your relaxed, mindful presence.

Gentle movement with and for your baby will deepen your growing bond, engage your baby through playful, positive touch & eye contact, and promote good digestion, motor development & calmness.

Yoga Therapy:
Small groups or 1:1 therapy appointments to improve your health & wellbeing. Whether you are anxious or depressed, living with a chronic condition or chronic pain, or simply want to improve your general health & wellbeing, Yoga Therapy offers a holistic approach to creating optimal health in your body, mind and spirit. Small groups are offered to target particular conditions and health issues, 1:1 is recommended where you wish to experience an individual programmed of yoga for targeted healing.

Location/Directions Info: Portsmouth Yoga Studio is a light, airy space located on the eclectic Albert Road in the heart of Southsea, offering a warm and relaxed welcome to all. Located on the corner of Harold Road, just a couple of hundred yards along from the famous Wedgewood Rooms, there is ample parking in nearby roads.
The studio is fully equipped and Lucy invites you to let go of the busy-ness of life and let Yoga offer you an urban retreat to relax and revitalise you: open your heart, calm your mind and learn to love your body. Namaste.

A brilliant class. Her knowledge of pregnancy and yoga is excellent and you can feel relaxed and happy in her care. I would wholeheartedly recommend and of Lucy’s classes -an excellent yoga teacher

I found this class when I was about 22 weeks pregnant and attended all the way through, including postnatally with my baby, despite having never really done any yoga before. The class always provided a warm welcome and before you knew it, you had escaped the worries of your day and felt completely at ease and connected to your baby growing inside you. Aswell as strengthening my back (had suffered with ongoing back problems) and core, I also felt empowered that I (physically and emotionally) was ready for my journey of motherhood. I attended these classes during my pregnancy and found them so relaxing and enjoyable. I was practising hypnobirthing and these sessions linked in so well with the techniques that I had been taught. Lucy is very knowledgeable and supportive and sessions are tailored around individual needs (ie changes in excercises if you have back pain etc). I enjoyed them so much that I returned again after the birth of my baby girl. The lessons are very friendly and inclusive and I would recommend them to any expecting or new mum!

Lucy is a very knowledgeable teacher and her relaxations were incredible. I found this class really gave me the space to focus on my second baby for the last few weeks of my pregnancy. I only wish I’d been able to start it earlier.

I attended Lucy’s pregnancy yoga classes and found the classes relaxing, restful for the mind and body and blissful for my healthy baby bump while he was growing big and strong! Lucy was a kind and thoughtful teacher with a great sense of humour, a fountain of knowledge on many aspects of pregnancy and always ready to listen.
